Obesity rates are rising across all demographics in the United States. My Health Matters is an organization dedicated to inspire and empower people in creating a healthy lifestyle and preventing obesity. 

Join us in taking the initiative in raising awareness and improve access on prevention and treatment of obesity starting in our community. With a goal to move, we encourage all runners and walkers to join us. Bring your whole family, this is a stroller friendly event. We will start our first physical activity together as a community on May 20, 2017 at the MyHEALTHMatters 5K/1mile Run/Walk event! 

WHEN: May 20, 2017, 5k 8 am, 1 mile fun run 9 am

REGISTRATION:  5K: $30 through April 20
                                     $35 through May 19, including packet pick up
                                     $40 on Race Day
                        1 Mile: $15 through April 20
                                     $20 through May 19, including packet pick up
                                     $25 on Race Day

Online registration will close at 8:00pm on May 18

RACE LOCATION: 505 Huntmar Park Drive Herndon, VA 20170

SWAG: All participants will be receiving a commemorative MyHEALTHMatters initiative T-shirt! All racers will receive a finisher's medal to celebrate their great race!

AWARDS: $150-100-50 awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers. The top two male & female finishers in each of the following age groups; 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60-69, 70 & over will also receive an award.  

PACKET PICK UP: Friday May 19 from 11-7 pm at Benchmark Health Systems (505 Huntmar Park Dr, Suite 100, Herndon, VA 20164) and Saturday at the race site starting at 7 am.
