ABOUT LIFTMEUP!:

LiftMeUp! was founded in 1975 as a hippotherapy program (the use of horseback riding as therapeutic or rehabilitative treatment, especially as a means of improving coordination, balance and strength).  Today, we offer a variety of programs, including hippotherapy, summer camps designed to integrate children inside and outside of our program, yoga on horseback, a sports horse program, and a veteran’s riding program.  Our mission is to provide safe and effective therapeutic riding instruction, to help our riders physically (such as the ability to sit or stand unassisted), improve their focus, and enhance their social and communication skills.

POST-RACE FUN:

Food and refreshments will be provided on the Great Falls Village Green after the race.  

ABOUT THE RACE:

WHEN:  Sunday, November 5, 2017 – 8am (which is like 9am because Daylight Savings ends at 2am!)

WHERE:  Great Falls Village Centre, 776 Walker Rd., Great Falls, VA 22066

REGISTRATION: 
5k: $30 through Oct 1, $35 until online closes on Nov 3 and on race day
Fun Run: $20 through Oct 1, $25 until online closes Nov 3 and on race day

SWAG:  Pre-registered runners receive a “Fall Back and LiftMeUp! 5K and Fun Run” Commemorative Race Shirt!  Please note: Shirts and shirt sizes are subject to availability and not guaranteed.

AWARDS:  Special awards for top overall male and female finishers in the 5K.

FUN RUN:  The fun run will begin at 8:20am and cover a course that is approximately ½ mile to 1K.

PACKET PICK-UP:  Packets can be picked up at LiftMeUp! on Saturday, November 4, from 1-4pm.  This will allow our race participants to see the wonderful program that the race is benefitting. 

Limited race-day packet-pickup will also be available from 7:15-7:45am at the race site.
