Fairfax Court Appointed Special Advocates provides a dedicated volunteer advocate (a CASA) to abused and neglected children with open child abuse cases before the court.  Each year, Fairfax CASA advocates for over 300 local children, who have found themselves in the child welfare system, through no fault of their own.  The majority of our children are removed from their homes, and are living in foster care.  The child welfare system can be chaotic, complex and scary.  Our children experience tremendous change and upheaval, but through it all, they can count on their CASA to be there, to show up, and to fight for them. 

Since 1989, Fairfax CASA has served nearly 9,000 children and trained over 1,800 members of our community as CASAs.  100% of our funding comes from donations, competitive grants and events.  

Last year, we raised $80,000 through the Run the Greenway race....our goal for 2024 is to raise $100,000.  PLEASE HELP US MEET OUR GOAL.
