The Historic Waterford Trail Run/Walk is a perfect outdoor adventure located in beautiful Western Loudoun County, just under an hour from DC. Bring your family and friends to experience a 5K, 10K and Fun Run through scenic trails, paved and gravel roads, vineyards, and the historic streets of Waterford, Virginia.  Spend some time enjoying the beauty of an early 19th Century American village with sweeping vistas of rural landscapes and farms, historic buildings and the rolling Blue Ridge Mountains. The trails are rustic so you may encounter a little mud, but that is half the fun!  Celebrate 50 years of preserving this National Historic Landmark with us!  Proceeds from the race benefit the Waterford Foundation.

Event Information: 

5k Trail Run/Walk – 9:05am.  The course will involve trails, fields, unpaved roads, and paved roads.  You will have 1 hour to complete the race. 

10k Trail Run – 9:00am.  The course will involve trails, fields, unpaved roads and paved roads.  You will have 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete the race.  If you are planning to walk please register for the 5k.  The 10k start will be first, followed 2 minutes later by the 5k start. 

Kids Fun Run – 10:15am.  The Kids Fun Run is approximately 1 mile and the course will go through Phillips Farm on trails.  Each child who finishes will get a small reward at the end of the race.  Parents are welcome to run with their children without a separate registration.

Registration fees:
5k:  $35 through race day
10k:  $45 through race day

5k/10k kids under 12: $25 with a registered adult through race day
Fun Run:  $20 through race day

Registration to open on July 10, 2021.

Online registration will close on Wednesday, September 8 at 8:00 pm. 

Awards – 10:30am.  The top 3 overall male and female 5k and 10k finishers will receive an award. 

Swag:  All 5k and 10k participants will receive a commemorative race t-shirt and 5k and 10k finishers will be presented with a handcrafted finisher’s medal of the historic Red Barn, celebrating its 100^th birthday this year.  Kids Fun Run will receive a t-shirt and finishers award.  Please register by August 20^th to be guaranteed a t-shirt.
