Register for 2019 Pyramid Challenge

We are ready for the 2019 Pyramid Challenge at Washington Irving Middle School on Saturday, October 19, 2019

Participants

Elementary Students from Cardinal Forest, Hunt Valley, Keene Mill, Orange Hunt, Rolling Valley, Sangster & West Springfield. If a student needs assistance running, please contact the Administrator, chris.s.dean@gmail.com. When registering, please be sure to register with the students name. 

The Course
The 1/2 mile (K-3rd) and 1 mile (4th-6th) courses are cross country style on the grounds at Washington Irving Middle School located at 8100 Old Keene Mill Rd. Portions of the course include hills, grassy fields, asphalt, as well as cinder track.

Scoring and School Points
Two trophies this year! - One to the school with the highest percentage of participants (based on school population) and the other to the school with the highest amount of points accumulated from finishing in places 1-3 of each race.

Registration is free, but...
...each participant is asked to bring 4 cans of food to benefit ECHO, a local food bank. Also consider optional financial support for the event (see options on next page). A local business is sponsoring a portion of the race but participating school PTAs will be responsible for the remaining costs.

Deadline to register
Online Registration closes on Tuesday, Oct. 1st. If you register by Oct. 1st, you will receive a race shirt. You will not be able to register online after Oct. 1st. However, you may register on race day at Washington Irving but will not be guaranteed a race shirt.

Parent Volunteers
If you would like to volunteer Click Here and complete the volunteer registration using your name. If you have a middle schooler, high schooler, or additional parent who would like to volunteer just contact the administrator at chris.s.dean@gmail.com or your schools rep.

Parking
This event is crowded. Please arrive one hour prior to your race time. Registration tables will be busy. You do not need to come for the entire race but you do need to arrive in plenty of time for your race.

Donations
Donations are to help support the event. The sponsorships we collect cover nearly 80% of the event fees, additional donations from parents help us continue to host this great event for all students free of charge. Our goal is to never have to ask the children for money. Thank you for your support.
