The Washington D.C. Chapter of The ROCKS Inc. will host their 26th Annual ROCKS 5-Mile Run and 2-Mile Walk on Saturday, 16 September 2017 at 8:30am in Burke Lake Park, 7315 Ox Rd, Fairfax, Virginia 22039.
The 5 Mile Run and 2 Mile Walk is an annual event conducted to promote excellence in the Reserve Officer Training Corps Program (ROTC) community, involvement and membership in The ROCKS, Inc. All proceeds will support academic Scholarships for ROTC Cadets.
REGISTRATION FEES for 5-Mile Run and 2-Mile Walk:
The ROCKS, Inc. Members: $30
Non-Members: $35
Cadets: $25
Children age 14 & Under: $20
Online registration will close on Thursday, Sept. 14 at 8:00 pm.
All registrants will receive a commemorative race shirt. Please register by September 1 to be guaranteed a shirt.
AWARDS
There will be awards given to the top three overall finishers in the 5 mile run and the 2 mile walk, top three overall from the Universities & Colleges, Oldest Participant, Youngest Participant and the top two Cadets.

VISION – To be the pre-eminent Rocks Chapter with special focus on mentoring, outreach to ROTC / Service Academy programs, community service and professional development to strengthen the officer corps
MISSION – To provide mentorship, professional development, scholarship and fellowship to ROTC Cadets, active duty, reserve component, commissioned officers and active duty or reserve component warrant officers. To assist retired or former active duty and reserve component commissioned or warrant officers in their professional endeavors.
