Join the Falls Church-McLean Children's Center for the Teddy Bear 5k & 1k Walk/Run on Sunday, September 24.
The 5k run will start and end at Pimmit Hills Park, between Olney Drive & Griffith Street, running through shady Pimmit Hills neighborhood through Olney Park and back to Pimmit Hills Park.
Registration:
5k: $20 until July 3
$25 from July 4-Aug 1
$30 from Aug 2 - Sept 5 (6am)
$35 from Sept 5 (6am)- packet pick up
$40 on Race Day
1k: $10 until July 3
$15 from July 4-September 21
$20 on September 22-race day
Online registration will close on Friday, September 22 at 8:00 pm. In person registration will be available on Saturday during packet pick up and on Sunday prior to the race.
Packet pick up on Saturday, September 23 at the NEW Vienna =PR= Store (111 Maple Ave, Vienna) from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. We strongly encourage all participants to pick up their bibs prior to race day to avoid waiting in line on race day. Packet pick up will be available on race day from 2-3 p.m.
Race participants will receive a commemorative race shirt and a teddy bear when they cross the finish line of the 1k and 5k. Please register by September 8 to be guaranteed a race shirt.
Awards for the 5k will be given to the top overall male and female finisher. This race is stroller friendly and the fastest mom and fastest dad pushing strollers will also receive an award. Top three male and female finishers in the following age groups will also receive an award: 6-8, 9-10, 11-13, 14-15, 16-17, 18-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79 and 80 & Over. All finishers in the 5k and 1k will also receive a teddy bear.

2:00 - Fun Fair opens on the playground field behind Falls Church-McLean Children's Center, 7230 Idylwood Road, Falls Church, VA 22043. Join us for games, balloons, face painting and puppet shows
3:00 - Registration closes
3:15 - National anthem and 5k participants head to the start line at Pimmit Hills Park. Race ends at the starting point.
3:30 - 5k race will start
4:30 - 1k starts from Children's Center Field (note: all children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a registered adult)
4:45 - Awards at Children's Center
