2017 Loudoun Soccer Fox Trot 5k and Fun Run

Loudoun Soccer Fox Trot 5k & Fun Run benefitting Scott Meeker and Caoilinn McLane

Loudoun Soccer in partnership with Potomac River Running, is excited to bring you the 2nd Annual Loudoun Soccer Fox Trot 5k and Fun Run on Sunday, March 19 at Bolen Park. No matter what shape you are in, join your neighbors, friends and fellow teammates as we run to support Scott Meeker and Caoilinn McLane in their battle with cancer. Racers will enjoy a certified course through one of Loudoun County's Most pleasant locations - Bolen Park!

Come out in the morning and enjoy a fun race and fellowship!

The 5k will begin at 10:00 am and the 1 mile Fun Run at 10:45 am. 

Registration fee for the 5k and 1 mile:

$35 until online registration closes on March 17 at 8:00 pm

$40 during packet pick up and on race day.

$15 for the 1 mile Fun Run, $20 during packet pick up and on race day

Online registration will close at 8:00 pm on March 17

Packet pick up will be at the Potomac River Running Store at the Village at Leesburg, 1601 Village Market Blvd, Unit 120, Leesburg, VA 20175 on Saturday March 18 from 4:00-6:00 and then again at Bolen Park the morning of the race, starting at 8:00 am. In order to guarantee a race shirt you must register by March 1.

Awards will be given to the overall top Male and Female. And the top Male/Female finisher in the following age groups; 7 & under, 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, 14-15, 16-17, 18-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 & over. There will also be awards in the following catagories for Loudoun Soccer players; Top Rec player, Top Travel player, Top Adult player, Top TOPSoccer player, Top Coach. Awards will be given to all Fun Run participants upon completion of race.

Donations and proceeds will be given to help support two Loudoun Soccer Staff member families who have a child fighting a battle with cancer. 

Scott Meeker is the son of Recreational Program Assistant Beth Meeker. Scott was diagnosed with two tumors, one on his pineal gland and another on his pituitary gland in August of 2016. Scott is a beloved member of our TOPS program and his mother, Beth, has dedicated countless hours to our organization. 

Caoilinn McLane, daugher of Coach Jim McLane. Caoilinn was diagnosed in November of 2016 wiht Childhood Acute Myeloid Leukemia or AML. Caoilinn has played for our club and participated in our Goalkeeper Academy for several years. Coach McLane has been a staple at Loudoun Soccer, putting in countless hours on the field coaching youth with great passion.
