The 5k race will start at 8:00 am on Sunday, October 30.
On Sunday, October 30, 2016 the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association of Northern Virginia (AFCEA NOVA) will host the fourth annual VIVA VETS! 5K Run/Walk for our Veterans. With support from our members and friends we give hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships every year and very much look forward to this fun and exciting addition to our yearly activities. Please invite your friends, family, and colleagues of all ages to this fun and rewarding event. We hope to see you there!
The 1k will start at 8:00 am and the 5k will begin at 8:30 am at Fairfax Corner (11895 Grand Commons Ave, Fairfax, VA 22030)
Registration Fees: $30 until September 1, $35 until October 15 then $40 through race day. Online registration will close on October 28 at 8:00 pm.
Each participant will be able to choose between a Commemorative T-shirt or a Challenge Coin.
Awards will be given to the top over all male and female finishers as well as the top male and female finisher in the following age groups; 12-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.
Packet Pick up: Will be at the Fairfax =PR= Store (11895 Grand Commons Ave, Fairfax, VA 22030) on Saturday, October 29, from 3:00-6:00 pm. Then again on race day started at 6:30 am.
For this event, all proceeds will go to the AFCEA Education Fund to support veteran's scholarships.
