Join us on November 6th 2016 @ 8am for the 2nd Annual BREAKAWAY 5K Run/Walk & Fun Run in McLean, VA!  Serving clients and the community for 15 years, BREAKAWAY Fitness promotes health and wellness for youth and adults of all fitness levels.  All proceeds from the race will benefit the non-profit organization “Life with Cancer” in support of the amazing services they provide to people and their families who are diagnosed with cancer.  Learning that you or a loved one has cancer is one of the most difficult challenges to face.  Life with Cancer provides information and support, all free of charge, to those impacted by this life changing experience.  

If you are a cancer patient or survivor and wish to have special recognition please check the box available during registration.

When:  Sunday, November 6, 2016  - 5K Start time: 8am & Fun Run Start time: 8:05 (approx.)

Where:  The race starts and finishes at 8405 Greensboro Drive, McLean, VA.

*Please note that for the safety of all runners there will be no dogs allowed on the course.

Battle of the Businesses:  Don’t forget to register under your corporation name (select team) if you wish to participate in the Battle of the Businesses.   Recognition will be provided to the corporation with most registered participants

Registration Fees for 5K:

Registrations through August 31^st 2016                  $30

Registrations through September 30, 2016              $35

Registrations from October 1 through race day      $40 

*Online registrations will close on Thursday, November 3 at 8;00 pm  

5K SWAG:  T-shirts will be provided to participants registered by October 15^th.   Unisex shirts available in Youth – medium, Youth – large, Adult –small, Adult – medium, Adult – large, Adult – X/L, Adult XX/L

Registration Fees for Fun Run:

Registrations through August 31^st 2016                   $15

Registrations through September 30, 2016              $20

Registrations from October 1 through race day      $25

Timing:  The 5K race will be timed by Commonwealth Race Management and will be electronically timed using the ChronoTrack B disposable tag system. Results will be available immediately after the race and will be posted on www.prraces.com.  Please note that the fun run will not be timed. 

Packet Pick up:  Packet pickup will be on Friday, November 4 from 12pm -3pm and Saturday, November 5 from 9am-12pm.  Race day registration & packet pick-up will also be available starting at 7:00am. Packet pick-up will be held at BREAKAWAY Fitness located at 8405 Greensboro Drive, Ste-P110, McLean, Va 22102. 

Awards:    Top overall male and female 5K finishers and the top 5K finishers in the following categories: 9 & under, 10-19, 20- 29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70 & Over. Prizes will also be provided to top cancer patients & survivors.  Various prizes will be awarded after the race, so stick around following the race for the fun!

 Parking:   Parking is available in the parking garage at 8405 Greensboro Drive (tall building on the corner or Greensboro and Springhill). You can access our garage from Greesboro (turn into the building courtyard and then to the left for garage) or from Springhill Rd (turing onto Broad Street and entering the garage at the first entrance on left). Breakaway is on parking level 1 in STE-P110.
