5th Annual Freedom High School 3R 5k

Saturday, May 14, 2016; 9:00 am

On May 14^th @ 9am, please join Freedom High School in participating in the Freedom 3R-5K, to support patients of pediatric cancer.  This year, all participants will be “Super-Heroes” and we will donate ALL of the proceeds from the race to the Cormac Finn McCarty Foundation (www.cfmfoundation.org), Ellie’s Hats (www.ellieshats.org) and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.stjude.org). Runners are asked to come dressed as their favorite Super-Hero to run (or walk), or wear the dri-fit race t-shirt. Packet pick-up will begin at 7:30am.   

NEW THIS YEAR: Parents can bring their registered elementary runners to FREE “Hero Training” in the football stadium while the parents run the 5K. There is no cost for this service, but donations will be accepted. FHS PEER will train (and contain) your elementary students who would like to go through “Hero Training” (focus on unity and anti-bullying) starting at 8:30am, and then the trained super-heroes will participate in a Fun Run at 10:30am. Runners who bring a NEW hat to the race to donate to Ellie’s Hats will receive a $5.00 discount for the registration fee.   This race will continue our PBIS initiative that helps students to focus upon the 3 R’s; Respect, Responsibility and Recognition.

Fees: 5k: $30 for adults and general public ($25 if you bring a hat to donate to Ellie's Hats)

         5k: $20 for students ($15 if you bring a hat to donate to Ellie's Hats)

Online registration will close on Friday, May 13 at 8:00 pm. Race shirts will be guaranteed to the first 250 registered. 

Packet pick up will be on Saturday, May 14 from 7:00-8:30 at Freedom HS. All registered runners will receive a commemorative race shirt, and will enjoy post race snacks. 

Awards: Top 3 male and female 5k finishers will receive awards.
