Get off the couch and get ready for the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce’s Reston Pumpkin 5K, and Kids’ Pumpkin Dash at Oktoberfest Reston, Sunday, October 11 with an 8:15 AM start.
Participants are encouraged to début their Halloween costumes and join in the fall fun with the whole family!

Kid’s Pumpkin Dash (recommended for kids ages 8 and under, all finishers will receive a finishers keepsake)

Runner Swag: All runners will receive a technical race t-shirt, race bib, post-race refreshments, and race course experience.
Packet pick up: At the Potomac River Running Store at Reston Town Center from 12:00-6:00 pm on Saturday, October 10. Then the mroning of the race at the Reston Town Center Pavilion from 6:45-8:00 am.
Make it more fun with a Team Challenge! Grab the co-workers, family members or a group of friends and compete as a team against other teams! Register individuals as a team separately and list the team name when asked. Team name must be exactly the same for each team member. Teams consist of at least 4 & must include at least 1 female and 1 male. Top 4 finishers times will be combined to determine the team's time. Top 2 overall teams will win an award. Add to the FUN & dress up in a team theme costume!
Runner's Bib: The timed 5K will use state-of-the-art Chrono B-tags. Your B-tag will be affixed to your bib number. Bib numbers and timing tags are not transferable, no entry refunds will be made, and for safety reasons, no strollers or pets are allowed on the course.

The Start Line: The start line is located at the intersection of Fountain Drive and New Dominion Parkway. Please be in the starting area no later than 8:00 AM and seed yourself based on your anticipated speed – timed runners to the front, followed by non-timed and walkers based on speed.
Finish Line: The 5k finish line will end adjacent to the Reston Town Center fountain and pavilion.
Awards: Awards will be awarded to the overall male, overall female, second place overall male, second place overall female and the first and second place male and female winners in the following age groups: 14 and under, 15 – 18, 19 – 29, 30 – 39, 40 – 49, 50 – 59, 60 – 69, 70 +
Swag: All runners, registered by October 7 will receive a technical t-shirt. Extra shirts available to those registered after October 7 post race on a first come first serve basis.
Medical: If you begin to feel ill while on the course – STOP – and look for your closest course marshal.
Restrooms: Portable restrooms will be located adjacent to the start line.
Parking: The Reston Town Center provides ample parking, with over 7,000 spaces, which are available in six garages and one surface lot.
Refunds: There are no refunds or transfers. The event is rain or shine.
Oktoberfest Reston: Oktoberfest Reston is produced by the Greater Reston Chamber of Commerce and is Northern Virginia’s largest fall festival at Reston Town Center featuring the best in autumn brews with delicious traditional Oktoberfest fare from area restaurants. Enjoy food, wine, beer and live entertainmentl.

FREE to attend, however food/beer/wine tickets cost: 24 tickets for $20
Food is priced from 3 – 5 tickets. Beer and wine cost 6 – 7 tickets.
