5K Course

The 5K  course is scenic and relatively challenging (compared to your typical road race...nothing you can't handle!).  The miles will be well marked, and there is a water station about half-way through.  It's a mix of asphalt path, cement sidewalk, gravel, and grass.  Be careful of your footing in certain areas, and careful coming down the hill.  Otherwise, enjoy the great views of the Lake!

Strollers

I have received a number of questions about strollers on the 5K course.  You are welcome to use strollers, but, after running the course last weekend with a double baby jogger (only one passenger), I will say that it is not easy!  There is one good sized hill, and significant stretches of grass and gravel, all of which make it difficult to push a jogging stroller.  Again, I won't say you can't do it, but it might not make for the most enjoyable run or walk.

That said, the half-mile is much more stroller-friendly!

Team Challenge for Catholic Education:

Rally as many runners and walkers from your parish and enter the Team Challenge for Catholic Education! The winning team will receive $1,000 for its school or religious education program. Choose an existing team name from the drop down box below, or add a new team name in the space below the drop down box.

Team Rules:

  • 10 member minimum (no maximum)
  • Each member must be a registered parishioner or enrolled in the parish school
  • Top 5 times (including at least 1 female time) will be combined, and the fastest team time wins $1,000!
