2024 Historic Waterford 5K/10K Trail Walk/Run

The Historic Waterford Trail Run/Walk is a perfect outdoor adventure located in beautiful Western Loudoun County, just under an hour from DC. Bring your family and friends to experience a 5K, 10K and Fun Run through scenic trails, paved and gravel roads, vineyards, and the historic streets of Waterford, Virginia. Spend some time enjoying the beauty of an early 19th Century American village with sweeping vistas of rural landscapes and farms, historic buildings and the rolling Blue Ridge Mountains. The trails are rustic so you may encounter a little mud, but that is half the fun! Celebrate over 50 years of preserving this National Historic Landmark with us! Proceeds from the race benefit the Waterford Foundation.

Don't miss the fun!
Join us Saturday, April 20, 2024 for a 5K, 10K and Fun Run through the scenic trails, vineyards, and streets of historic Waterford, Virginia. Race participants will receive a one-of-a-kind handcrafted pewter medal and a commemorative race t-shirt. After the race, come celebrate wtih us at the Wheatland Springs Farm and Brewery.

Event Information:
10k Trail Run – 8:30am. The course is on trails, fields, unpaved roads and paved roads. You will have 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete the race.

5k Trail Run/Walk – 8:40am. The course will is on trails, fields, unpaved roads, and paved roads.

Kids Fun Run – 10:00am am. The Kids Fun Run is approximately 1 mile. Each child who finishes will get a fun run medal. Parents are welcome to run with their children without a separate registration.

Awards for the 5K and 10K will start approximately 9:30am. The top 3 overall male and female 5k and 10k finishers will receive an award. Awards will include a Potomac River Running gift certificate and commemorative wooden medal. The 3 male and female 11 and under finishers will also receive awards.

Registration fees:
5k: $30 through March 31, $35 through April 17, $40 through race day
10k: $40 through March 31, $45 through April 17, $50 through race day

5k/10k kids under 12: $25 with a registered adult through race day
Fun Run: $20 through race day
Trailblazers Registration: $160

Online registration will close on Wednesday, April 17 at 8:00 pm.

Swag: All 5k and 10k participants will receive a commemorative race t-shirt and finisher medal. Fun Run registrants will receive a t-shirt and finishers award. Please register by March 31st to be guaranteed a t-shirt.

After Party at Wheatland Spring Farm + Brewery
Join us to celebrate after the race at Wheatland Spring Farm + Brewery, beginning at 11 am. Wheatland Spring is just a short 10-15 drive away at 38506 John Wolford Rd, Waterford, VA 20197. You'll find a drink ticket in your race packet. Find more info about the brewery and their offerings at www.wheatlandspring.com/. There are non-alcoholic drink options available and food available for purchase. Drink tickets will be honored race weekend only on Saturday 11 am - 6 pm.
