Get ready to trot for a cause at our Turkey Trot!  Join us at Franklin Park on Saturday, November 16, 2024, for a fun-filled day of running and community spirit. BetterALife is hosting this year's Turkey Trot to raise funds for our local families that need food, educational services and life long skills to the local community. 
 

Starting bright and early, the 5K kicks off at 8:00 AM, followed by the 1-Mile Fun Run around 8:45 AM. Lace up your running shoes and bring your enthusiasm as we dash through the scenic cross-country course together.
 

All pre-registered 5K participants will receive a guaranteed long sleeve race T-shirt to commemorate the event. 

Please note that for the safety of all participants, no dogs, wagons, or baby strollers are allowed on the course due to the terrain. Let's come together for a day of fitness, fun, and giving back to the community. See you at the starting line!

Where: Franklin Park, 17501 Franklin Park Dr, Purcellville, VA 20132

Who: Competitive runners, fitness/frequent runners, joggers/recreational runners and walkers.

Registration Fees:
5K: $30 through October 15
      $35 October 16 through October 31
      $40 November 1 through Race Day
1M Fun Run: $20 through October 31
                   $25 November 1 - Race Day

Please register before Thursday, October 31, to be guaranteed a race shirt. After this date, shirts will be first come first serve. 

Online registration will close on Wednesday, 13 at 8:00 pm. Late registration will be available during packet pick up and on race day. 

Kids Fun Run: There will be a noncompetitive (untimed) fun run for kids beginning at no earlier than 8:45 am and no later than 9:00 am. Medals will be awarded to all fun run finishers. 

Costumes: Costumes are welcome and encouraged for this fun, family event.

Packet pick up: Will be at a BetterALife (201 N. Maple Ave, Unit F, Purcellville, VA 20132) on Thursday, November 14 from 4:00-7:00 pm and Friday, November 15 from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Then on race day, Saturday, November 16 at Franklin Park, near the starting line starting at 8:00 am. 

Awards & Prizes: Will be awarded to the overall top three (3) men and top three (3) women finisher, and the top two (2) men and women in the following age groups; 9 & Under, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 adn 70 & Over. The awards ceremony will take place following the race. 

Prizes will also be awarded for the best Turkey costume. Costumes will be judged in the following categories: 
     *Top 2 best Turkey Adult costume
     *Top 2 best Turkey Kids costume under the age of 17
 
Parking: There is plenty of free parking available at Franklin Park

Volunteer Opportunities: Join in the fun as an event volunteer! This event relies on 50+ volunteers to be successful and we need YOUR help. Volunteer jobs include water station, race registration area and/or course marshals on race day. We will also need volunteers at packet pick up. Interested in volunteering?
