St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic School will hold its 12th Annual 10K, 5K, and 1-Mile Fun Run on Saturday, September 18, 2021. Our event began in 2008 and continues to be a community-building fundraiser to help the PTO enhance student academic and social experiences. 

Register to run with us in person at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church (6720-B Union Mill, Clifton, VA 20124) Or choose to run it Virtually on the course of your choice. 

The STAA 10K/5K USATF certified course is a perfect fall marathon tune up race or a chance to challenge yourself and friends/family.  The out and back course features minimal turns and long straightaways to build a great running rhythm and conquer some rolling hills.  The asphalt course is in great condition for even footfalls so you can focus on the competition and scenery and not worry about any uneven road surfaces or debris.  Enjoy the quiet and mostly tree lined course through the majestic Balmoral Greens neighborhood.  After a reasonable left - right turn combination to get out of the St. Andrew the Apostle School parking lot, open up your stride on the 2.3-mile straightaway on Balmoral Greens Ave. before your next turn onto Balmoral Forest Rd.  The 5K turnaround is approximately 1.4 miles down this first road.  The 10K turnaround is approx. 0.6 miles down Balmoral Forest Rd.  On the 10K course, challenge yourself and your friends for the KOM (King of the Mountain) title on a to-be-established segment of the Balmoral Green Ave. straightaway.    Bring your friends and family, enjoy a great fall run and the post-race atmosphere.   Cheer on the kids in the Fun Run, which will start from the school parking lot at 9:15.  Kids will enjoy a themed 1-mile, untimed fun run heading down Balmoral Greens Ave, turn around after a half mile and return to the school.

Event Information for In Person Registrants: 
All courses are paved roads through the beautiful Balmoral Greens neighborhood.
5K Run – 8:00 a.m.  
10K Run – 8:10 a.m.  
Kids Fun Run –9:15 a.m.  The Kids Fun Run is approximately 1 mile.  
 

Online Registration fees (In Person & Virtual):
5K:  $20 through August 1,$30 August 2 through September 17, $35 on Race Day
10K:  $30 through August 1, $40 August 2 through September 17, $45 on Race Day
Fun Run:  $20 through August 1, $22 August through September 17, $24 on Race Day

Online registration will close on Wednesday, September 16 at 8:00 pm 

Race day registrations will require cash or check payment

Awards for In person participants: The top 3 overall male and female 5K and 10K finishers will receive an award. Top 2 in each age category 13 & under, 14-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 & over will receive an award.

T-Shirts:  All Fun Run, 5K and 10K participants will receive a race t-shirt. Please register by August 28th to be guaranteed a t-shirt. Shirts cannot be guaranteed for anyone who registers after September 3. 

Packet Pick-Up:  Registrants will be able to pick up their race packets at the following locations:  

There is a shipping option for those who are out of town or simply prefer to have their items mailed. In person shipping will begin on Friday, September 10 and the shipping option will close Sunday, September 12 at midnight. For Virtual participants, shipping will begin on Monday, September 13 and will remain open through Race Day. However we cannot guarantee pre-race weekend delivery for any registration after Monday at midnight.
