Join us for the 19th annual Freeze Your Gizzard Cross Country 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run on November 20, 2021. Celebrate Thanksgiving a little early with us and take the opportunity to have fun and excercise! Enjoy the beautiful cross country course that runs through scenic Ida Lee's 138 acre park. Please no dogs, wagons or baby strollers - with the uneven terrain, we want to ensure everyone's safety. 

Freeze Your Gizzard will start and finish near the gazebo in the front field of Ida Lee Park. Please follow parking signs for the event; the event parking is accessed from North King Street. Please do not turn onto Ida Lee Drive. 

Registration Information:

5K: $25, now-November 19th, $30 day of registration
1 Mile: $10 now-November 19th, $15 day of registration

Online registration will remain open through 8:30 am on Race Day, Saturday, November 20. Race day registration must be done online prior to arrival at the check in tables.  

All participants are asked to bring 2 canned goods or non-perishable items to donate to the Loudoun Hunger Relief Food Bank. 

Course: This course is cross country style and has several steep hills. The race starts adn finishes at the Gazebo at Ida Lee Park, 60 Ida Lee Drive NW, Leesburg, VA 20176.

Swag:  5K participants will receive a commemorative Freeze Your Gizzard long sleeve t-shirt. Not all sizes are currently available. 
Late/day of registrations are not guaranteed a shirt, they will be given out if available.
One mile finishers will receive a medal. 

Race Packets:  Packet pick up will be Thursday, November 18 and Friday, November 19 from 11:00-7:00 at Ida Lee Rec Center, then again on race day starting at 7:15 am in the parking area, in the field above the start line.

Awards: Prizes will be given out to the first, second and third place male and female winners of the 5K run for each age category, as well as top overall male and female runners. 

Additional Information: Monetary donations for Loudoun Hunger Relief accepted online or at the event. Thank you for your kindness. Loudoun Hunger Relief will be hosting a post-race celebration for all participants. Enjoy refreshments and door prizes (must be present to win).

Parking: Parking for the race is in the front grass field of Ida Lee Park, accessible from King Street. Please follow parking signs. Do not turn onto Ida Lee Drive. You will pull into the field through a gate off of King Street. No parking available at the recreation center.
