The Wolverine Nation Virtual 5K is coming soon!


Who: Fans of Wolverine Athletics & Athletes

What: a virtual 5K

When: Anytime you choose between August 22-September 8

Where: Anywhere you'd like to run or walk

Why: Because we need to get up and move in support of WP Athletics

We hope you and your families are safe and healthy during these challenging times. The pandemic has had a dramatic impact on every aspect of our daily lives and missing out on high school athletics has added to our disappointment and frustration. All of our sports programs and athletes have been impacted, and the future is still unclear.

However, like any great team we are not giving up when we are down and are trying something new this summer! Together, the West Potomac Athletic Department and the Wolverine Athletic Booster Club have partnered to create the Wolverine Nation Virtual 5K.

This virtual race will open on August 22nd and run through September 7. Runners/walkers may complete a course of their choosing anytime during the race window.  We are excited to see our West Potomac community come together to celebrate its love of athletics and athletes. 

Registration fees for the virtual 5K:  $30 or $100 for a family of four (4)

**the discount for the family of four will be taken at the end of registration once four people are registered.

Each participant will receive a custom bib and West Potomac Wolverine magnet. 

All packets will be mail to participants. The shipping date is still being determined. 

This fundraiser’s proceeds will help support the athletic programs at West Potomac. The goal is to have 500 runners and to raise $10,000 to support athletics at West Potomac.
