Register for 2020 Wolftrap Elementary 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run
The Wolftrap Elementary 5k and Fun Run has always been our largest event that brings us together as a community. Changes related to COVID19 have brought so much uncertainty, but our race is ON in virtual format. We hope to still give our kids something to look forward to!
**If you previously registered, you are already ready to go for the Virtual Race. No need to sign up again.**
Families will have over a week, from April 11-19, to run or walk the route together and at a safe distance. Nothing timed and nothing but community. Wave high to your neighbors, chat and throw air high-fives. We'll post pictures to our Facebook page and make it as fun as we can. More details can be found here.
New registrants are welcome up until April 18 at 8pm.
5k Run/Walk Adult (13 & over): $35
5k Run/Walk Child (12 & under): $25
1 Mile Fun Run (untimed): $15
Please note: if you registered for the physical race, you do NOT need to register again for the virtual race. Registrants will receive a cotton shirt OR upgrade to a Technical Race Shirt for an additional $5. Registrations after March 18 will receive shirts after the race. Additionally, those not affiliated with Wolftrap ES and registering after March 18 are not guaranteed to receive a race shirt.

Join the Wolftrap Elementary School PTA, students, family, and the community on Sunday, April 19 for our 15th Annual 5k and 1 Mile Fun Run starting at 8:00 a.m. The start and finish line are located at the school, 1903 Beulah Rd, Vienna, VA 22182. This fun and competitive event is a major fundraiser for the PTA. This year is exciting - it is not only our 15th anniversary, but we will be debuting a brand new USATF-certified course! Participants can both enjoy the race and/or fun run, as well as a fun-filled morning featuring music by DJ Darin Pusker (Belt It Out Productions), race awards, a cake walk, raffles of baskets full of goodies, post-race treats, and an exciting silent auction. The proceeds from this event go directly to the PTA and are used in support of programs benefiting Wolftrap students and the community.
Registration Fees: Note that online registration closes on Thursday, April 16 at 8:00 p.m.
5k Run/Walk Adult (13 & over):$30 through February 28, $35 until online registration closes April 16, $40 for late registration and on race day
5k Run/Walk Child (12 & under): $20 through February 28, $25 until online registration closes April 16, $30 for late registration and on race day
1 Mile Fun Run (untimed): $10 until online registration closes April 16, $15 for late registration and on race day
Registrants will receive a cotton shirt. Runners can upgrade to a Technical Race Shirt for an additional $5.
To guarantee a t-shirt before race day you must register by March 30. All other registrants who are affiliated with Wolftrap ES (students/faculty/staff and their families) will receive their race shirts about 2 weeks after the event. Registrants after March 30 who are not affiliated with Wolftrap ES are not guaranteed to receive a race shirt. Additionally, those who are not affiliated with Wolftrap ES who do not pick up their packets on or before race day are not guaranteed to receive their race packets.
Start Time: The 1-mile fun run/walk will start at 8:00 a.m. The 5k will follow at 8:30 a.m. There is a 1-hour time limit for the 5k course. The event will take place rain or shine. Strollers are welcome at both races. Please be respectful of other runners and start in the back of the group if you are slower.

Packet Pick up and Late Registration: Packet pick-up will be available on Friday, April 17 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the school cafeteria. Packet pick-up and walk-in registration will be held on race day, Sunday April 19 from 6:30 am to 7:45 am in the Wolftrap Elementary School cafeteria.
Awards & Prizes: For the 5k race, trophies and medals will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers including teachers and students. Additionally, medals will be awarded for the top male and top female finisher in each of the following age categories: 4 & under, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50 & over.
