Register for 2020 Healthy Strides 5k/10k

May 2, 2020
Burke Lake Park
7315 Ox Road, Fairfax Station, VA 22039

Head out to Burke Lake Park on May 2nd and join the Fairfax County Park Authority for the 9th annual Healthy Strides 5k/10k! Enjoy a scenic run around the beautiful grounds of Burke Lake Park. The 10k runs along a wooded path, taking runners around the lake. The 5k follows a tree-lined road through the park, is wheelchair accessible and stroller-friendly. Both courses are USATF certified.

Being a Fairfax County Park Authority event, the Healthy Strides 5k/10k is always striving to be as GREEN as possible, by using less paper and promoting recycling. We hope you’ll join in our efforts to reduce, reuse and recycle on race day (and every day) by carpooling, recycling your biodegradable racing bib, and donating a used pair of sneakers. More info on how you can get involved below in the event details.

A portion of the net proceeds from the Healthy Strides 5k/10k will help fund summer camp opportunities for children living in homeless shelters and transitional housing in Fairfax County.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: The 2020 Healthy Strides 5k/10k has a theme – “Cheers for Parks!” We are planning some fun activities and contests – complete details can be found at https://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/healthy-strides/10k5k.

©Lil’ Striders Tot Dash is a very short run for kiddos who are literally along for the ride, not registered participants in the 5k/10k. This allows them to get their energy out before they’re strapped into a stroller for the main event. Tots will receive a race bib, tots t-shirt, and commemorative finisher medal as they come through the finish line.

Please note: Race registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Team Registration

Form a team to represent a family, company or group of friends and compete against other teams! Each person should register individually for the same race distance (5k or 10k) and indicate your team (the exact name) when asked in the registration form. Teams can be any size; however, you must have at least four participating to earn a team score. The top four finishers’ times will be combined to determine the team’s time. The top 5k team and top 10k team will earn bragging rights, your team’s picture featured in the 2020 Healthy Strides calendar, and up to 10 free admissions to the 2021 Healthy Strides race!
