We regret to inform you that due to concerns surrounding coronavirus/COVID-19, the Bright Beginnings 5K this Saturday, March 14th has been cancelled.  

We have been eagerly anticipating your attendance at the race. However, the safety, health, and well-being of our community, runners, and volunteers is our top priority. We request your continued support for future events, including our Spring Happy Hour at BlackFinn AmeriPub on April 23, 2020 from 5:30-8:30 pm. Hope to see you there!

Bright Beginnings' Annual 5K Race raises funds that help provide educational, therapeutic, health, and family services free of charge to homeless infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and their families in Washington, DC.

All proceeds directly support Bright Beginnings' outstanding programs that prepare children for kindergarten and help their parents get back on their feet. Put on your running shoes, grab your friends and register today.

REGISTRATION FEES
5k: $30 through February 29, $35 until online registration closes 

Stroller 5k: $35 through February 29, $40 until online registration closes 

5k (Children 17 & Under): $25 through February 29, $30 until online registration closes

Virtual 5k: $35 until online registration closes 

Kid's Dash (10 & Under): Free - please register online (no shirt). 

Registrants will receive a commemorative race shirt. Registrants can upgrade to a technical t-shirt for an additional $10. Be sure to register early, shirts cannot be guaranteed if you register after March 1.

Online registration will close on Thursday, March 12 at 8 pm. Race day registration will be available during packet pick up.
*Please note, we will not be able to register any new runners on race day.  

PACKET PICK UP 
Race packets will be available at the =PR= DC Store on Friday, March 13 from 5-7 pm and then on race morning at the race site starting at 7 am. 

AWARDS 
There will be awards for the overall male and female finisher and top male and female in each of the following age groups; 17 & Under, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 & over.
