PHILLIPS mission is to serve the needs of individuals with emotional and behavioral health needs and their families through education, family support services, community education and advocacy.

PHILLIPS philosophy is that each child we serve is unique, and so is the combination of services we provide. Depending on the child's needs, as well as input from parents, educators, agencies or other involved parties, we offer: Special Education Day Schools, PHILLIPS Family Partners and PHILLIPS Career Partners, over 50% of our youth qualify for free and reduced lunch.

Our goal this year is to raise funds for PHILLIPS’ Culinary Arts program at our PHILLIPS
School ~ Annandale!
For the past two years we have offered culinary arts to our youth at our Laurel campus and the outcomes have been outstanding! Students are engaged in experiential
learning, obtain skills necessary for authentic career pathways, and study to
earn Serve Safe certification.  Students share that the culinary class motivates them to attend school; they are learning how to prepare food the way restaurants do (with an eye towards safety
and cleanliness) and the class motivates them to want to give back to the
community!

Why does this matter?  Career and Technical Education classes improve academic achievement, lower dropout rates, address workforce needs, increase earnings and employment outcomes,
improve the skills gap and strengthen local economies.
