Register for 2018 Super H 5k Run, Walk & Wheel



The 15th Annual Super H 5k Run Walk & Wheel

Sunday, September 23, 8am

 Tysons Sport & Health,

8250 Greensboro Dr, McLean, VA 22102.  

 

 

Come run, walk or roll through an exciting community!  It‘s a great rolling hills course!   Come out whether it’s your first 5K or you are trying to set your personal best!  Enjoy a great race and show your support for  the MedStar NRH Adaptive Sports athletes! 

This 5K is a certified course and a fun loop around the growing Tysons Corner.  Join us afterwards for our awards ceremony with LIVE music, GREAT eats and AWESOME prizes. Grab some friends, create a team to run with you! The Super H 5k is open to all able-bodied and disabled athletes who can run, walk or roll through the course.

Registration Fee:

Early Bird: $30 until September 1, $35 until online registration closes on September 20 at 8:00 pm. $40 on race day 


Online registration will close on Thursday, September 20 at 8:00 pm. Race day registration will be availalbe during packet pick up. 

 

Swag: All race registrants will receive a dri-fit race shirt! 

 

Packet Pick up will be held on race day in the parking lot of the Tysons Sport & Health (8250 Greensboro Dr., Mclean, VA 22102) starting at 7:00 am.  

 

 

Awards will be given to the Top Male and Top Female finisher, Top Male and Top Female Junior finisher, Top Handcycle Adult finisher, Top Handcycle Junior finisher, Top Wheelchair Adult finisher and Wheelchair Junior finisher.  

 

All registrants will receive a two-week, complimentary membership to SPORT & HEALTH!

Proceeds support the Adaptive Sports Program at MedStar National Rehabilitation Network, which helps children and adults with physical disabilities to pursue healthy, active lifestyles through recreational and competitive sports. 

Through last year’s fundraising, we had:

*35 athletes competing on the top national level in wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby, rowing, boccia and sled hockey.

 

*100 athletes competing weekly in seven sports: wheelchair tennis, wheelchair basketball, wheelchair rugby, rowing, boccia, handcycling and sled hockey.

 

*200 athletes travel to participate in our specialized competitions including the MidAtlantic Regional sectionals for Quad Rugby!

 

*We introduced over 200 people to adaptive sports through disability awareness sessions and intro clinics.

*We introduced 25 children to adaptive sports at our junior adapted sports camp
