DOG-FRIENDLY RUN/WALK! 
October 14 at Ida Lee Park in Leesburg, 10:00 am

Leesburg Veterinary Hospital is proud to be hosting our first annual 'Paws for your Heart' 5K/1K run. This dog-friendly race is a non-profit 501c-3. Proceeds from this race allow for Heartworm positive dogs that are greatly in need of treatment to be pulled out of local shelters and given a chance at life. We are working with Friends of Homeless Animals (FOHA), Golden Retriever Rescue, Education, and Training (GRREAT) and Shenandoah Shepherd Rescue (SSR) to treat these dogs and help them find a forever home. Heartworm treatment can be extremely costly and prolonged so these dogs are often overlooked. With funds from this race, we can treat more of these dogs so they’re eligible for adoption taking the great strain off our local shelters. Simply put, this is a win-win for our community.  

Registration Fees:
5K:  $30 through October 12th, 2018.
$35 during packet pick up and on race day. 

1K:  $20 through October 12th, 2018.
$25 during packet pick up and on race day 

Online registration will close on OCTOBER 12TH, 2018 at 8PM 

Packet pick up will be at the Potomac River Running store at The Villages at Leesburg on Saturday, October 13th from 1:00pm - 3:00pm, then on race day (October 14th) at Ida Lee Park starting at 9:00am until 20 minutes before the start of the race.  

Registrants who register by October 1st, 2018, will be guaranteed a race T-shirt. All others will receive a shirt on a first come, first serve basis. 

Awards will be given to the top three overall male and female finishers.
