Join Langston Hughes Middle School for the Third Annual Panther Pride 5k on a new date: Saturday, April 7 starting at 10:00 am. 

The Langston Hughes 5k is about promoting running among our student body. We want to promote running within our student body to get our students interested in running and starting a healthy lifestyle which includes being active and running is a way to stay active. Any profits earned will go to our PTA Technolgy Fund which goes towards advancing STEM at Langston Hughes.  

Langston Hughes MS is located at 11401 Ridge Heights Road, Reston, VA 20190

Registration fees:

Students (K-8): $10 

Students (9-12): $15

Adults: $25 

Online registration for all categories will close on Thursday, April 5 at 8:00 pm. In person registraton will be available during packet pick up on Friday, April 6 and on race day from 8-9 at the race site. 

Packet Pick up:  Will be held at The Langston Hughes MS Hall of Nations on Friday, April 6 from 4-8. Then again at Hughes MS race morning starting at 8:00 am. Registration will be available during packet pick up (t-shirts will not be guaranteed) and on race morning. 

Swag: The first 150 registrants will receive a commemorative race shirt. Register early to ensure you receive a shirt. 

Awards: Awards will be giving out to the top male and female finishers from the following age groups; 14-19 (high schooler), 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 & over. There will also be awards for the top K-6 boy and girl, top 7th grade boy and girl and top 8th grade boy and girl.
