Event will go on rain or shine!

Online registration will remain open until Sunday 5/29 at 8:00 pm.   Those registering online Saturday and Sunday will need to pick up their packet on race morning.

Race Day registration will be available on site Monday monring. 

Celebrate Memorial Day and honor our past and present military heroes by taking part in RINGING IN HOPE:  A SALUTE TO OUR TROOPS!   Join your friends and neighbors on May 30, 2016, at the ONE LOUDOUN—a new urban destination that has become Loudoun County’s new downtown—and make this Memorial Day a truly memorable one. Run, Walk or Jog and celebrate with us and enjoy family fun festivities on hand to Ring in Hope for our military. Tons of prizes, family fun, and festivities at the finish line to enjoy!

8:00 am -  5K Race

8:10 am – 10K Race

9:30 am – 1K Run Run/Walk Race

One Loudoun, 20626 East Hampton Plaza, Ashburn, VA

Boulder Crest Retreat in Loudoun County (wellness center dedicated exclusively to our nation's combat veterans and their families).

10K Timed Event

$35 Midnight April 1, 2016 (Early Bird Registration)
$40 From April 2 – May 28, 2016
$45 May 29th – May 30th (increases after online registration closes 
 

1K Fun Run/Walk

$15 per person 3 and older (under 3 is free)

*Walkers under 12 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. If parent/guardian is registered for 10K or 5K race, parent/guardian is free for 1K event. 1K admission includes a dog tag to proudly display as participant makes his/her way around the 1K course

Timing and Scoring  Commonwealth Race Management, a division of Potomac River Running,  will provide professional race management and state of the art electronic timing. The chip will be adhered to the back of the bib. Do not bend or remove the timing chip.

Awards

In both the 10K and 5K valuable merchandise or gift certificates will be given to the top 3 overall men and top 3 women as well as the top 3 male and female finishers in the following age groups: 11 and under, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, and 80 & over  

5K & 10K Co-ed Team Competition

Get your running buddies, family, friends and co-workers together and have fun challenging other teams. A trophy will be awarded to the fastest team (top 4 finishers) as well as the team with the most participants (in both the 5k and 10k event). All teams are coed, with a minimum of 5 people. A minimum of 2 persons of each gender are required to form a team. No exceptions. A single team may have as many members as desired. The top 4 on each team will score. Scoring is Cross-County Style; lowest aggregate time of the top 4 team members wins.  

T-shirts 

T-SHIRT DEADLINE: May 12, 2016. To be guaranteed an Official Ringing in Hope technical t-shirt, please be sure to register by April 11. After that date, shirts will be available on race day following the race on a first come, first served basis, if still available. The event offers a uniquely designed commemorative long-sleeve performance t-shirt to registrants in the 5k and 10k. Sizes available are Unisex; Youth Medium and Large, Adult Small, Medium, Large, X-Large, XX-Large and XXX-Large. Runners will receive the t-shirt size they have ordered as indicated on their bib in order to help ensure participants receive what they requested. 

1k registrants will receive commemorative cotton race shirts while supplies last.

Race Day Packet Pickup and Registration

All race day registration will take place outdoors in order to accommodate the growing number of participants.

Race (and walk) registration can take place in one of three ways:

1.)    Registering here online

2.)    At one of the two pre-race packet pickups (Locations mentioned above)

3.)    On race day at the race site:

May 30, 2016 at One Loudoun, 20626 East Hampton Plaza, Ashburn, VA (on the main plaza).  Registration starts at 6:30 am.

 Event will take place rain or shine.  No refunds.

Picking Up Bibs and Packets for Your Friends and Family

We do allow runners to pick up bibs and t-shirts for their friends. Please note that t-shirts cannot be mailed. No ID is required for ppu. 

 Parking

There is plenty of parking at One Loudoun garages behind the plaza. 

Restrooms:

Restrooms will be available at porta-potties on the plaza and other areas to be announced..  

Strollers & Pets

Strollers and baby joggers are welcome, but must start at the back of the pack as a safety precaution for the other participants. For the safety of our participants, we do not permit pets to participate in the events. Thank you for your understanding.
