Join us on Saturday October 31, 2015 for the Third Annual Race for D.C. Kids 5k supporting the Youth Leadership Foundation, sponsored by DRT Strategies.

The race will be held at Bluemont Park, 601 N. Manchester St., Arlington, VA 22203. The race will start at 9:15 am.

Registration will only be available online: $35 for the 5k (race day registration will be $45 if spots are still available and will be payable by cash, check or credit card) Online registration will close Thursday, Oct. 29 at 8:00 pm)

Packet pick up will be held on Friday October 30 at Potomac River Running Store in Arlington, 4501 N. Fairfax Dr., Arlington, VA 22203 from 6:00-8:00 pm and Saturday October 31 at Bluemont Park starting at 8:00 am.

Awards: Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers.

Commemorative uni-sex Cotton T-shirts will be available in limited quantities.

3) It is a great course for first-timers (or a PR). The run is an out and back course along a beautiful, almost flat stretch of the Washington and Old Dominion Trail. This is the perfect event for all ages and fitness levels.

2) SWAG (and some cool prizes). Everyone who registers will get a commemorative T-shirt. 

1) You'll change a kid's life. All funds from the run will go to the Youth Leadership Foundation (YLF), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Founded in 1997, YLF provides character formation, challenging academics and one-on-one mentoring, and opportunities for parental involvement and support to families in the DC-MD-VA area. 95% of parents involved with YLF see a positive change in their child's behavior and 97% of the children we serve graduate high school and enter higher education.
